The Mets & Lucas Duda have agreed to a 1 year deal worth $7.25M to avoid going to arbitrary court.
MLBTradeRumors.com had him projected to make $6.75M with the Mets. While some may feel that’s too much of a raise, we can’t forget that Duda has hit 57 HR’s between 2014 & 2015 seasons & his career OBP is .350, Slugging percentage at .483 & even a .792 OPS while Jay Bruce’s is .785, so the Mets are paying roughly $6M dollars less with Duda as opposed to Bruce’s $13M.
