Muhammad Wilkerson & the Jets will make a last attempt to come to terms with a contract. Wilkerson is looking to have his contract match defensive tackle Fletcher Cox at 6 years worth $103M. In the even that it doesn’t happen which is likely that it won’t, Wilkerson would play out the season under the franchise tender & would have $15.7M guaranteed cash. The Jets did try to trade Wilkerson around Draft time however the team was unsuccessful in finding a team that would take on the defensive end for what the Jets wanted in return, I’m sure this will not make negotiations any easier this week.
