Mets 5th starter candidate: Gabriel Ynoa

By Gem Tablak

Ynoa has a fastball that ranges in between 89-93 MPH that has running & sinking action that won’t over power batters but he knows how to get outs by working the corners of the plate.

His second best pitch is his change up which he throws at about 84 MPH’s & it’s been recommended that he throws more to right handed batter.

His last pitch in his arsenal is his breaking ball that probably classifies best as as a slider now but due to how softly he toss it in the past, it looked more like a slurve. Now his slider sits between 82-84 MPH that has some sharp break towards the back end of the pitch.
