While it’s said that Noah remains to be a top priority for the Bulls, there has been some speculation of center defecting from Chicago to join the Knicks. Ian Begley of ESPN.com reported that “Some in the Knicks organization want to make a run at [Noah]”
Joakim Noah is set to be a free agent this summer & I’m sure there will be a fair share of bidders for the veteran center, even the Knicks in town rivals. Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops reported that the Brooklyn Nets are also interested, some where Noah has roots to as he’s played 2 years of high school ball in Brooklyn.
Last week in a interview with the website “Sportando” Noah said “I’m very focused on free agency” then said “I spent the last 10 years in Chicago; there were good moments and bad moments, but now I have an incredible opportunity for a player—being recruited by a team, I definitely want to live that kind of experience. It’s new for me, but it’s something very intriguing for a player.”
In recent weeks Noah has been telling players & staff within the organization that he’s done with the team & doesn’t trust the direction the Bulls are going in. However, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reported just a month ago that Noah’s representatives & the Bulls front office were in the process of a positive dialogue & are very hopeful that he will re-sign.
